Ananya Reddy, who secured all-India rank 3 in UPSC, studied 12 to 14 hours a day

UPSC Civil Services Exam results: Donuru Ananya Reddy is the topper among females in UPSC CSE 2023. She spoke to Telangana Today about her preparation strategy.

D Ananya Reddy secured AIR 3 in the UPSC Civil Services Exam

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared he results for the Civil Services Exam 2023. Aditya Srivastava emerged as the topper with All India Rank 1. He was followed by Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya Reddy, who secured the second and third rank respectively in the highly competitive examination.

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Civil Services Exam (CSE) for recruitment into the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service and other services. Each year, more than a million aspirants appear for the first stage of the exam – the preliminary – of which only a few thousands are selected to write the mains. A mere handful of successful candidates are selected after the personality test.

This year, a total of 1,016 candidates cleared the examination and have been recommended for different central government services, the UPSC said. Among them is D Ananya Reddy, All India Rank 3 holder and a graduate from Miranda House, Delhi University.

Reddy spoke to Telangana Today about her strategy for cracking the notoriously difficult Civil Services Exam. She said she studied 12 to 14 hours a day and followed her own schedule to cover the syllabus. For her optional subject in CSE, Reddy chose Anthropology, although she studied Geography at the undergraduate level. Aside from coaching classes for her optional Anthropology, she did self-study for other subjects.
