To ease the curbs amid the COVID-19 pandemic, The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Gujarat has decided to follow the Unlock 3.0 guidelines set by the MHA for lifting night curfew, openings shops and restaurants etc.
As reported by PTI, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani said on July 29 that the state government's aim was to ensure that the deadly infection does not spread even as economic activities continue in the state.

Let us take a look at what is allowed in Gujarat from June 1:
>> Gyms and yoga centres will be allowed to open from August 5.
>> Night curfew will be completely lifted in the state from August 1.
>> All shops will be allowed to remain open till 8 pm.
>>All Restaurants can operate till 10 pm.
What is not allowed in Gujarat:
>> Schools, colleges and coaching institutions will remain closed till August 31, 2020.
>>Religious functions will not be allowed for upcoming festivals in August and if the COVID-19 situation continues like this, festivals like Navratri will not be observed, the chief minister said.
>> Starting August 1, citizens stepping out without masks will be fined Rs 500 as opposed to the previous penalty of Rs 200.
The state of Gujarat till now reported 59,000 COVID-19 cases, while the death toll stood at 2,936 cases. The recovered cases in the state lies at 43,112 cases. The active coronavirus cases in Gujarat 13,516.
