The NEET UG 2024 results were released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on June 4 and since then has ignited a firestorm of controversy. Countless students have reported discrepancies in their scores, prompting a wave of dissatisfaction and demands for the exam's cancellation. The uproar among medical aspirants has also led to calls for a thorough investigation into the alleged errors.
Amid the growing unrest, a provocative advertisement criticising the NEET and IIT-JEE exams has taken social media by storm. The ad, which has gone viral, encourages disillusioned students to consider alternative career paths.
The message reads, "Disappointed with NEET results? Think beyond NEET, IIT-JEE. Think CLAT! 5 year law from NLU's." This ad suggests students should shift their focus to the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) instead of persevering with NEET preparations.
Since being shared on June 9, the tweet has amassed over 150,000 views and garnered more than 5,600 likes on a post shared by an X user who captioned it: “bruh? marketing koi CLAT walo sey seekhein.”
The comments were numerous too.
“What else do you expect from would be lawyers?” one user wrote.
“Capitalism is peaking. Last time a shaving blade company tried to capitalise from young topper's looks,” wrote a second referring to Prachi Nigam, the Uttar Pradesh board exam topper, who went viral for her achievements as well as for unsavoury critique of her looks.
A third user commented: “This is the reason why half of the students who lack career awareness get stuck before taking a forward step after school.”
“I don't think this pertains to the NTA scam. They would've printed it regardless,” a fourth commented.
A fifth wrote: “Instead of doing MBA/LLB after completing engineering, do it before.”
