A 16-year-old took to social media to narrate a harrowing incident that happened in Delhi metro in which he was sexually harassed by a passenger. Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, the boy wrote that he was "assaulted" at Rajiv Chowk metro station in the national capital and the passenger who assaulted him was wearing a green shirt.
The boy wrote that he boarded the train between 8:30pm-9:30pm and the passenger touched his hand and followed him, after he had moved ahead. He added that as soon as he reached his destination, he got off the train and went the opposite way.
The boy further said that he felt something on his bottom when he entered the train, but brushed it aside thinking it would be someone's bag. But to his horror, it was something altogether different which left him "terrified".
The boy wrote that the passenger indicated he was coming for him and got on an escalator, like he did, and he ran for his life. However, the assailant caught him and grabbed his hair.

The boy said that he managed to take a photo of the assaulter and while the latter tried to argue, it was to no effect.
The boy wrote that he was eventually helped by a station guard after he had entered a wrong station and managed to reach home safely.
The teen's post saw a lot of responses, including one from Delhi police who requested the boy to send his contact details.

"Start carrying a pepper spray use the hell out of that thing when you think someone is following you," one user wrote.

"Even boys are facing these kind of assault in Delhi. This is shocking. Please be safe and hats off to you for raising your voice," another user wrote.
