India is heading towards to the end of the wedding season, which began on November 23 and will end on December 15.
With just a few days to go for the conclusion of the wedding season, Shiv Sena Member of Parliament Priyanka Chaturvedi urged brides to add more bright colours to their wedding celebrations and not fall for the choices made from the groom's side, entirely.
"Dear Indian brides. Please bring bright colours back into your wedding festivities. Not everything is about coordinating with boring grooms colour choices. Thank you. PS: Not a political tweet but a genuine ask," Chaturvedi wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
Chaturvedi's views found her support from users on the platform, who felt that weddings needed more colour than the case, currently.
"Agree. Alia Bhatt wore her wedding saree to the National awards ceremony. Obviously that saree was inappropriate for one of the two occasion - her wedding!" one user wrote.
"With you on this. Weddings font look like wedding anymore with those whites, creams, peaches," another user wrote.
"100 per cent. And Not everything needs to follow boring celebrity trends!" a third user wrote.
There have been a few high profile weddings witnessed in India in the past few weeks, including the likes of Randeep Hooda getting married to Lin Laishram on November 29 2023.
