Shah Rukh Khan’s first Valentine’s Day gift to Gauri was…

Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan’s love story is the stuff of Bollywood romance movies. The two met as teenagers in Delhi – long before Shah Rukh Khan became the household name he is today. Their wedding in 1991 followed a six-year courtship. Now, after three decades of marriage, the ‘Badshah of Bollywood’ has revealed what his first Valentine’s Day gift for Gauri was.

In an ‘Ask SRK’ session on Twitter this morning, Shah Rukh Khan revealed that he gifted Gauri a pair of pink plastic earrings on Valentine’s Day more than three decades ago.

His answer was in response to a Twitter user’s question: “What was your first gift for Valentine’s day to Gauri Mam?”

“If I remember correctly it’s been what 34 years now….a pair of pink plastic earrings I think…” Shah Rukh Khan replied.
SRK is currently celebrating the success of Pathaan, the action thriller that marked his return to the big screen after a gap of six years. Asked if one should watch Pathaan or DDLJ on Valentine’s Day, the actor replied: “On Valentine Day it should be Pathaan day.”

Over the last few weeks, SRK has held several ‘Ask SRK’ sessions on Twitter – some to promote Pathaan and others to thank his fans for the love that Pathaan has received since its January 25 release.
