Bengaluru residents encounter various different experiences while travelling from one part of the city to another which leaves them either pleasantly surprised or rudely shocked.
In another startling incident experienced by a commuter, a man shared how his Uber driver worked in both UPI app Juspay and auto app Namma Yatri, which is owned by the payment app.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter), the man said that his experience was another addition to a long list of "Peak Bengaluru" moments, that have been witnessed in the city for many years.
"My Uber auto driver tonight was the Chief Growth Officer at
at Juspay , doing user research for Namma yatri . If this isn't peak bengaluru then what is," the man wrote.
A LinkedIn search revealed the driver's identity as Shan M S, an IIM Bangalore graduate who has been working at Juspay for the past 2 years.
The man's post saw many mixed comments from users, some of whom guessed who the person was. One user, though, was critical of the driver working at both firms and taking the opportunity away from others.
"Must be Madhan," one user wrote.
"Nice. Hope he has a licence to drive auto," another user wrote.
"Seems like some people in Bengaluru excel in stealing gig jobs from people who really need it," a third user wrote.
This is not the first instance in which a commuter in the city has been left surprised while booking a ride to reach the destination.
In August, a commuter shared how after booking a Rapido ride, he got an engineer who came on a Royal Enfield to pick him up and take him to his destination. Incidentally, the man said that the rider was working for the same company that was curating an event, which he was off to attend.
