Chaos erupted on an American Airlines flight from Los Angeles to New York when an emergency landing was made in Phoenix, Arizona, revealing a lice outbreak on board.

Ethan Judelson, a 28-year-old TikTok creator, documented the situation in a video that has since garnered over 1.2 million views. According to Judelson, the flight crew provided minimal information about the emergency landing, adding to the confusion among passengers.

"I look around, no one's on the ground, no one's freaking out. I'm like, it can't be that dire," Judelson shared in his TikTok post, PEOPLE reported. "But we land, and as soon as we land, this woman across the aisle from me shoots up and rushes to the front of the plane."

Initially, Judelson and his seatmate dismissed the woman's haste as typical impatient behaviour. However, it soon became evident that something unusual was unfolding.
