A Mumbai-based doctor recently referred to National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and Joint Entrance Exams (JEE) as "useless" and could not get as to why Unacademy CEO Gaurav Munjal did not understand the lack of value of these exams.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter), the doctor wrote in response to Munjal's earlier query in which he asked the man whether he was referring to NEET, JEET and United Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams as "dumb".
Munjal reacted to the doctor's words and said that some of India's entrance exams were the best products that the country had created and many lives had changed because they had cleared these exams.
He further wrote that it was important for Indians to take pride in the exams as they brought a sense of fairness to an otherwise broken system.
Munjal's views found varied replies from users with some agreeing to his views while others choosing to think differently.
Earlier this week, a Noida-based doctor had replied to an IIT aspirant's gruelling schedule saying that he and his brother had followed a rigorous schedule for three years and that eventually paid off for both of them as he got admission into one of the best government medical college while his brother got a seat in IIT Delhi.
