TV Mohandas Pai has slammed Indigo after a poor flight experience in Bengaluru. The Infosys co-founder said he along with other passengers were made to wait inside the flight without air conditioning (AC) before taking off.

Taking to X, Pai wrote, "Indigo treats its passengers badly. Sitting in 6E 7407 without AC on hot tarmac in Bengaluru. No way to treat passengers. Only after a protest, staff used a tarmac generator for AC. Please change your protocol." He also tagged Airports Authority of India and aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu in the post.

Responding to Pai's post, the airline said that his feedback was forwarded to the concerned team. "Sir, thank you for taking the time to meet our airport team. At IndiGo, customer comfort is of utmost importance to us. We assure you that your feedback is noted and we will share it with the concerned team for necessary review. We appreciate your patience and understanding," it stated.

Meanwhile, a source from the airline clarified that AC was not switched on when the flight was on the tarmac because it was an ATR aircraft. The AC in these aircrafts switches on once the engines are at full power after takeoff.

Last week, Indigo made headlines after a video surfaced on Instagram showing two men serving tea in disposable cups as they strolled down the aisle of an airplane. The pair appeared to imitate the service style commonly seen on Indian trains with one person pouring out the tea while another served it. The viral video garnered more than six lakh views.
