Mark Zuckerberg is reportedly building a huge $100 million compound in Hawaii – complete with an underground bunker and its own food and energy sources. According to reports, the Facebook founder is already making preparations for doomsday.

As per an investigation by Wired of property records and interviews with contractors, the sprawling property called Koolau Ranch is already partially constructed and is shaping up to be one of the most expensive personal construction projects in modern history.

The construction of the 1,400-acre compound on Kauai island is shrouded in secrecy. Nobody working on this project is allowed to talk about what they are building. Several workers claimed that anyone who passes by compound security is bound by a strict non-disclosure agreement. And they are not just formalities. A number of workers have been removed from the project for posting about it on social media, Wired reported.

The complex consists of a dozen buildings with two central mansions that will be connected by a tunnel leading to a 5,000 square-foot underground shelter with an escape hatch accessible by a ladder, Wired mentioned citing building plans.
