Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh recently said that she followed a "No Digital Distraction Rule" and did not use her phone for five hours on Sundays and instead, opted to spend time with family and reading.
Writing on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday, Alagh spoke about how disconnecting would help a person find joy in the simple living and assist in connecting with oneself in a better way.
"Every Sunday, I have a rule: No phone for 5 hours I follow something called the ‘No Digital Distraction Rule’."
"Uss time mein, I do simple living like family ke sath time spend karna, bachon ke saath park mein jana, reading, or just being, etc. Disconnecting will help you find joy in simple living, which is getting lost these days. It will help you connect with yourself better," Alagh wrote on the social media platform.
Alagh's post saw a lot of responses, many of whom agreed with her suggestion of not using phones for a few hours on Sundays.
"That seems like a good challenging goal for myself!" one user wrote.
"There is a humongous life outside the screen," another user wrote.
Over the past few weeks, Alagh has taken to her X (formerly Twitter) handle to share a wide range of suggestions.
Recently, she spoke about how to master new skills and urged others to follow the "100-hour rule", which refers to allotting 100 hours to "deliberate practice" to any new skill and how one could master it with the time spent working on it.
