Global pop sensation Rihanna headlined the Day 1 performance at the Anant Ambani – Radhika Merchant pre-wedding celebrations at Jamnagar. The international pop artiste and the queen of R&B belted out back to back hits for the breathless audience who enjoyed the stunning performance. RiRi, as she is fondly called, went barefoot on stage while she was singing and that was noticed by all fans.
The Barbadian singer has not performed live for a long time and this special performance at the Anant Radhika Pre Wedding celebrations was appreciated by the power celebrities among the audience. She wore a fluorescent green flowly outfit with a thigh-high slit, over a shimmering pink bodycon suit, and the ensemble is touted to be a Dolce. She later paired it with a pink cap and cape draped over her shoulder. Netizens later also posted images about a rip in the designer outfit, near the upper right arm.
The Wild Things singer totally owned the stage as she sang her chartbusters while pyrotechnics and fireworks lit up the Jamnagar sky and the opulent stage. Over 1200 elite celebrities who were in attendance had a blast watching the pop star perform with a posse of perfectly synchronized backup dancers who wore hijab-like headgear.
Entertainment Tonight reported that an eyewitness at the special event said, "Rihanna performed for about 40 minutes at the pre-wedding. She was happy to be back performing with a smile. She had her own energy and aura onstage. While singing 'Diamonds' she had fireworks in the background, which was the cherry on top."
It was reported that Rihanna did not have any outfit changes through the show other than the pink cap and cape which she added later. This was her first -ever performance in India and she left no stone unturned to slay it.
Later RiRi aced our very own desi thumka as she danced along with Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor to the peppy super hit dance number Jhingaat.
The paps loved RiRi because of her spontaneity and warmth as she posed for pictures with them and also agreed to take selfies with fans.
According to reports, the Ambanis had a large screen on for even the outsiders to enjoy the show.
Rihanna later told ANI that her experience in India "it was best, and I want to come back to India. I loved it (here)".
