Justin Trudeau’s office has dismissed allegations that the Canadian prime minister flew to India in a plane full of cocaine for the G20 summit earlier this month.

“This is absolutely false and a troubling example of how disinformation can make its way into media reporting,” his office said in a statement to the Toronto Sun.

The Canadian prime minister’s office issued this statement after former Indian diplomat Deepak Vohra accused Justin Trudeau, 51, of flying to India for the G20 summit in a plane full of cocaine and hiding in his room for two days.

Trudeau landed in India on September 8 for the international summit which was attended by several heads of states – including US President Joe Biden. He was accompanied by his 16-year-old son Xavier. Contrary to Vohra’s claims, he was photographed out and about during the two-day summit.
