Even as the first signs of peace start to emerge after Israel and Hamas decided to start a four-day truce on November 24 morning, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Tesla CEO Elon Musk and took him on a tour of Gaza on Monday.
Netanyahu shared a photo of himself and Musk on X (formerly Twitter) and revealed that he had taken him on a tour of Kibbutz Kfar Gaza and shown him the atrocities committed by Hamas.
"I toured Kibbutz Kfar Gaza with Elon Musk to show him up close the crimes against humanity committed by Hamas," Netanyahu wrote on Monday.
The photo, which went viral, saw a lot of comments who criticised Netanyahu and his decision to take Musk to visit Gaza.
"Netanyahu, who has been criticized in Israel for avoiding their media and interviews, does however have time to take a break from his war effort to host, and do photo-ops with, a foreign billionaire who recently accused Jews of fueling anti-white hatred," one user wrote.
"Why not showing him up close the crimes you committed instead? Your so-called country has violated many international laws," a second user wrote.
"Cheap propaganda to cover the fact that Elon has agreed to do the Zionist bidding to censor any anti-Zionist activity," a third user wrote.
Israel has been waging war against Hamas, which the US and the EU have deemed a terrorist organization, after militants killed about 1,200 people and took some 240 hostages in an October 7 attack.
