IPS officer, fasting for Navratri, refused snacks on Indigo flight. What crew did

Senior IPS officer Arun Bothra has shared a note of appreciation for an Indigo flight attendant who shared vrat-friendly snacks with him after learning that he was observing a fast during Navratri. In a post shared on the microblogging platform X, Bothra said he refused regular snacks on his recent Indigo flight as he was fasting for Navratri.

When Indigo flight attendant Purvi realised that the IPS officer was fasting, she brought him a cup of tea and some vrat-safe snacks. Purvi also refused to accept payment for the snacks, instead telling Bothra that she, too, was keeping a fast for Navratri. The Indigo crew member provided Bothra with sabudana chips, sesame seed chikki and tea, along with a note which read: “Mr Bothra, it was a pleasure having you onboard with us today. May Ma Durga bless you with abundance.”

Bothra was evidently touched by the gesture as he tweeted: “Mother Divine takes care of you in different forms. Today she came as Purvi, an Indigo crew member.

“As I didn’t take snacks due to Navratri fasting she returned with Sabudana Chips, Til Chikki & tea. When I asked how much to pay, she said- ‘No money sir. I am also fasting’,” he added.
His post has received nearly 2 lakh views on the microblogging platform, where many praised the low cost airline and its staff for going the extra mile during the festive season.

Indigo responded to the post saying “Sir, we are delighted to hear about your heartwarming experience with our team member, Purvi, during your recent flight with us. It brings joy to our hearts to learn that her thoughtful gesture enhanced your travel experience.
