In memory of Shah Rukh Khan's father: Actor responds to special 'Jawan' screening in Bengaluru

Shah Rukh Khan's "Jawan" has crossed the Rs 800 crore-mark at the worldwide box office.

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan on Tuesday responded to a post featuring the screening of his blockbuster, “Jawan”, in Bengaluru.

The post on X (formerly Twitter), tagging Khan and filmmaker Atlee, said a Bengaluru-based fan group of the actor organised a screening of “Jawan” for underprivileged women and children. The screening was held in memory of his father, Meer Taj Mohammad Khan, the post said.

It featured women and children queuing up to collect food packets outside the theatre. It also showed a group of people, mostly men and children, dancing inside the theatre.

“Thank you, everyone. This is very sweet and heartening. Love you. Hope you all had a good time,” Khan wrote on X, responding to the post.

Shah Rukh Khan, who was born in Delhi, lost his father when he was a teenager. His mother died a decade later. Meer Taj Mohammad Khan had migrated to India from Peshawar during Partition.
