However, upon returning home, Jain realised that the delivery contained a 0.5-gram gold coin, contrasting sharply with his order for a 24kt, one-gram Goddess Lakshmi gold coin. 'After 20 minutes, the return window got closed and I couldn’t contact any support executive,' he said.

Mohit Jain attempted to reach the delivery driver, who reportedly confirmed that he had delivered the incorrect item.

Mohit Jain, a resident of Delhi, claimed that quick-commerce platform Blinkit delivered a 0.5-gram gold coin instead of the one-gram coin he ordered. In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), Jain detailed his order experience, stating that he had prepaid for a 10-gram silver coin alongside a one-gram gold coin.

However, upon returning home, Jain realised that the delivery contained a 0.5-gram gold coin, contrasting sharply with his order for a 24kt, one-gram Goddess Lakshmi gold coin. “After 20 minutes, the return window got closed and I couldn’t contact any support executive,” he said.

He attempted to reach the delivery driver, who reportedly confirmed that he had delivered the incorrect item but was unable to assist further. Jain also mentioned that he had CCTV footage to back his claim and posted images online showing the gold coin he received, screenshots of his order details, and the design discrepancy between the delivered coin and the one he had requested.

Attempts to engage with Blinkit’s support were met with automated messages, informing him that the complaint window had closed. “The complaint window for the selected item(s) is closed,” read the response, followed by an additional prompt stating, “This will help us understand the issue better and improve our services.”

Responses on social media echoed Jain’s concerns, with one user commenting, “Blinkit is a scam these days. Their customer care is a joke.” Another questioned Blinkit’s actions directly, tagging the company and asking, “What is this behaviour?” A third chimed in, urging, “Blinkit, please look into this."
