Wind turbines also generate a substantial amount of data. For instance, GE continuously monitors a fleet of over 19,000 turbines that generate ~ 1 Petabyte of data every year. The Industrial Internet uses the power of data and analytics to drive informed decisions such as improved energy yields, better predictability, higher productivity, superior performance and improved grid compliance for wind farm operators.
