Combating cancer with technology

Cancer is a major public health concern in India. With nearly 3 million cancer patients in India at any given point, the disease is one of the leading causes of death in the country.

With a view to combat cancer in India, GE Healthcare launched a discussion among oncologists and nuclear medicine specialists across the country to understand the way forward. GE also unveiled Discovery IQ, an affordable PET/CT to improve access to cancer management solutions in India. As part of covering the event, we spoke to doctors present from across India to understand the enormity of the disease and how its treatment can be made affordable and accessible.
