The rapid growth of the Indian information technology (IT) and IT-enabled services sector has facilitated the digitization of India and as the industry evolves, it is constantly innovating to find new verticals of growth. An increasing number of organisations are using digital solutions to make their employees more productive. Let's take a look at how they are achieving this.
A large portion of the IT workforce is young. These employees use technology extensively in their everyday life and expect similar or better technologies at work. KPIT from Pune has implemented a number of digital solutions at its campus to improve employee productivity, cuts costs & shorten business process timelines.
"We have built the customer 360 application, where as a part of that they get the insight all about the customer the news, the twitter feeds," says KPIT’s CIO & VP Mandar Marulkar, adding, “it is not only the information, we are running the analytics and helping the user to extract what is important and productive when he is in front of the customer.”
As the Indian IT industry matures, organisations are eyeing a whole host of evolving global technologies to give their turnover a boost. One such company is Mumbai based Intelenet Global Services, which is placing its bet on the field of robotics.
“We're also doing a lot of work in analytics I mean the new buzz word now is hyper personalization,” says Intelenet Global’s Chief Strategy Officer, Prabhu Srinivasan.
“We are hoping to ensure we get there with analytics and finally with mobility we're ensuring that we build extreme amount of transparency for our clients in the way we perform or operate,” Srinivasan adds.
