The Crypto.com Arena, LA hosted the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Marking the fourth consecutive year, US comedian and actor Trevor Noah returned as the host.
Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain clinched the Grammy award for Best Global Music Performance for his contribution to "Pashto," collaborating with Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer, featuring Rakesh Chaurasia. Three-time Grammy winner Ricky Kej hailed Hussain as "a living legend." Hussain beat contenders such as Shadow Forces by Arooj Aftab and Vijay Iyer, as well as Falu's "Abundance in Millets", featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Chaurasia also secured a Grammy in the Contemporary Instrumental Album category.

The ensemble "Shakti," featuring guitarist John McLaughlin, Hussain, vocalist Shankar Mahadevan, percussionist V Selvaganesh, and violinist Ganesh Rajagopalan, secured the Grammy award in the Best Global Music Album category for their work on "This Moment."
Taylor Swift made history at the Grammys by winning Album of the Year for the fourth time, surpassing Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, and Frank Sinatra. During the ceremony, Celine Dion presented her with the award, and Swift unveiled a surprise new album, "The Tortured Poets Department", set to release on April 19.
Following her debut Grammy win for Best Pop Solo Performance, Miley Cyrus continued her success by securing the Record of the Year award for her song 'Flowers.' These were Cyrus's first-time Grammy wins after eight nominations, six of which are from this year.

American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish secured a Grammy Award for Song of the Year with "What Was I Made For?" from the movie "Barbie" at the 66th edition held in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old artist, alongside Finneas O'Connell, accepted the award and also triumphed in the Best Song Written for Visual Media category, surpassing nominees like Swift, Lana Del Rey, SZA, Cyrus, and Dua Lipa.
Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter received the Dr Dre Global Impact Award at the Grammy Awards, becoming the second-ever recipient. In his acceptance speech, accompanied by his daughter Blue Ivy, he humorously acknowledged his past Grammy wins, then delivered a powerful speech highlighting hip-hop's history, his past boycott of the show, and expressing gratitude to Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg for paving the way for East Coast Rap artists.
Theron Thomas emerged victorious at the 66th GRAMMY Awards, securing the Songwriter of the Year, Non-Classical category. Beating contenders such as Edgar Barrera, Jessie Jo Dillon, Shane McAnally, and Justin Tranter, Thomas celebrated the win enthusiastically. He was nominated for notable hip-hop and R&B hits, including "Been Thinking" by Tyla and "All My Life" by Lil Durk featuring J. Cole. "My father told me when I was nine years old, Theron, you're gonna win a Grammy," he said in his acceptance speech.
