From the latest in the coal allocation scam probe, CNBC-TV18 learns from sources that CBI has completed its investigation into 6 FIRs (First Information Report) out of the 16 that had been originally filed in the case.

Sources say that the CBI's next step will now be to file a chargesheet based on the probe into the 6 FIRs.
However, the investigation in other FIRs is still on and the alleged role of prominent industrialist Kumar Mangalam Birla is still being probed
