YouTube sensation and newly minted billionaire MrBeast (aka Jimmy Donaldson) has given fans a glimpse into his relentless work ethic, claiming to be averaging 15 hours of filming daily. His candid admission on X about sacrificing sleep for content led tech entrepreneur and anti-ageing advocate Bryan Johnson to school him about how he needs nourishment to keep him "vibrant and durable".
“I’m probably averaging 15 hours a day of filming this month and getting less sleep than I ever have in my life (I didn’t even get to go to bed last night ) BUT my god these videos are the greatest content I’ve ever filmed,” MrBeast, reportedly the world's youngest self-made billionaire at 27, shared on X.
Donaldson, who started his YouTube journey in 2012 and found viral fame with ambitious videos like "I Counted to 100,000," famously dropped out of college to focus on his content, reinvesting earnings to fuel increasingly grand projects.
Responding to MrBeast's post, Johnson, known for his focus on anti-ageing, offered a word of caution and advice. "Jimmy, in time you’ll transition into making content battling the ideas of society. Be sure to properly nourish yourself now so that you’re sufficiently vibrant and durable then," he wrote.
This, however, is not the first time that the anti-ageing millionaire has stepped in to offer health advice to others on social media.
In May, he sharply criticised a viral social media post by an Indian web developer that appeared to glorify working through the night, warning that such a lifestyle was “terrible for health” and should not be seen as “heroic.”
The viral post was shared by web developer Priyanshu Tiwari. He shared a photo of a group of young tech workers coding late into the night. “It’s 4 am, guys, but builders are building. What’s your excuse?” While several X users praised the dedication and work ethic of the young developers, Johnson responded with a strong warning about the serious health implications of such work habits.
“It may feel heroic but you’re spending down your human capacity. That posture reduces brain oxygen by 30 percent,” Johnson wrote, referring to the image of young professionals hunched over their laptops.
Known for his extreme longevity experiments and multimillion-dollar anti-ageing regimen, Johnson had earlier shared how an MRI scan showed that his poor posture was "killing" his brain.
