A man took to X to express his frustration after a bus conductor refused to give him back change. Nithin Krishna from Bengaluru boarded a BMTC (Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation) bus and bought a ticket for Rs 15. The conductor didn’t give him back Rs 5 citing that he doesn’t have change.

Krishna, who clearly had experienced such behaviour in the past, wrote, “I lost my 5 rupees as this conductor didn’t had even 1 rupee change (?) to return. Is there any solution to this?”

The amount might be small but Krishna had had enough according to his tweet. According to him, the amount was not the problem but the practice of some bus conductors not returning money on the pretext of not having change was annoying.

“Either you should provide them with sufficient change before the start of the trip or else use technology to do online payments. Should I lose my money every time? And conductors are using this to earn some silly bucks.”
