A Blinkit customer's complaint about a notification that he received from the online grocery platform has ignited a spirited debate on social media. The customer's grievance and subsequent interaction with customer care have drawn varied reactions, highlighting concerns about language use and customer support.

The incident began when the man received a notification from Blinkit that he interpreted as threatening. He explained in his X post, “Blinkit sent a harmful notification and wished me ‘Gaya,’ which means ‘wound’ in Kannada. I told them if I received one more threatening notification, I would lodge a police complaint. After that, they stopped sending nonsense in alien languages. That's how we need to deal!”

To substantiate his claim, he shared screenshots of his conversation with Blinkit customer care, where he threatened to file a police complaint.

He later updated his post, saying, “After this complaint, I observed over a month that they are now sending only English notifications. No more alien language nonsense. If more people complain, they will introduce Kannada as well.”

The post has garnered close to 900,000 views and over 1,000 likes, with numerous users expressing their opinions. Many criticised the man's actions, suggesting he had overreacted.
