A video of an eatery in Bengaluru using a broom to clean a pan of crumbs and to smear ghee across it before making dosas has sparked a debate on social media. Another talking point about the video was the amount of ghee being used to fry each dosa. It prompted some users to call it a "deep fried" dosa while others christened it "heart attack dosa."

Captioned "the most hi-tech dosa of Bangalore", the clip features a chef from a Rameshwaram Cafe outlet in the city making multiple dosas at the same point in time. To make the bulk preparation easier, the chef uses a broom to spread the ghee over the huge pan before pouring copious amounts of more ghee over the dosas while they cook.

Although it is likely that the broom being used in the eatery was used only for cooking purposes, it made several social media users call the practice unhygienic.
