Two police personnel attached to Bellandur police station in Bengaluru have been suspended pending an inquiry after a retired senior executive publicly alleged harassment and bribery following the death of his daughter, Deccan Herald reported.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Whitefield) K Parashuram confirmed the suspension of PSI Santhosh and PC Gorakhnath, stating that an internal inquiry is underway.

The action follows a now-deleted LinkedIn post and comment by Sivakumar K, former Chief Financial Officer of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), who shared a deeply personal account of the systemic corruption he encountered after the sudden death of his 34-year-old daughter, Akshaya Sivakumar, an alumna of IIT and IIM Ahmedabad.
