Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Anurag Thakur, took to X (formerly Twitter) to share an appreciation post for a cricket enthusiast he met during the India versus New Zealand match in Dharamsala on Saturday. Thakur was bowled over by the determination of the boy named Iryaksh Aggarwal and shared a picture of him holding a placard.
Aggarwal wanted to play cricket for India in future and he was showing the minister a placard that read, “One day I will play for India. Remember me.”

Awaiting your journey eagerly from placard to the pitch! Nurture your dreams, and together, we’ll watch them grow into reality,” the minister wrote.
