Xiaomi has unveiled its latest flagship lineup in China, introducing the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The series marks the debut of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and brings design changes such as secondary rear displays on the Pro models. Alongside high-performance internals, the lineup features large batteries, fast charging, and IP68 water resistance.
Price
The Xiaomi 17 starts at 4,499 Yuan (approx Rs 56,000) for the 12GB/256GB model. The Pro and Pro Max variants are priced higher, starting at 5,000 Yuan (approx Rs 62,000) and 6,000 Yuan (approx Rs 74,000), respectively. The phones are currently available in China, with no official word yet on global or Indian availability.
Features
The standard Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 12-bit colors, and 3,500 nits peak brightness. It packs a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. The device carries a 50MP triple rear camera system co-engineered with Leica, along with a 50MP front camera.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro adds a 2.7-inch rear display that allows users to take selfies with the main camera, control music, view notifications, and more. It comes with a 6,300mAh battery, upgraded Leica optics with a periscope telephoto lens offering 5x zoom, and a new Time-of-Flight sensor for depth.
The Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, the largest in the series, has a 6.9-inch main display and a slightly bigger 2.9-inch secondary rear screen. It houses a 7,500mAh battery and features a redesigned telephoto camera with a larger sensor and wider aperture. Both Pro models support 100W wired and 50W wireless charging and enhanced water resistance—up to 4 meters for the Pro and 6 meters for the Pro Max.
