The government added 47 more apps last month to the list of 59 Chinese apps that were banned in India. A new report has now revealed the names of 15 of the newly-banned 47 apps.

Among the list of 47 Chinese apps that were banned in July are Xiaomi’s Mi Browser and TikTok’s parent company ByteDance’s video-editing app CapCut. The remaining were ‘lite’ or ‘pro’ versions of the apps that the government banned earlier in June, including TikTok and Helo, according to the list reviewed by The Economic Times.

Other apps include photo editor AirBrush, short video and prediction tool Meipai and camera app BoXxCAM. Email service NetEase, gaming app Heroes War and SlidePlus by QuVideo Inc are the other new apps blocked in the latest list issued about 10 days ago. Xiaomi’s Mi Browser Pro has also been blocked after its Mi Community app was banned earlier.

“We will take a call on further action if any of the apps try to come back with different names,” a senior government official told the website.
