Is NASSCOM’s 7-8% growth guidance realistic?

I-T industry body NASSCOM has unveiled its much awaited guidance for FY18. NASSCOM expects export revenue of the I-T industry to grow at 7-8 percent. Domestic revenues is expected to grow at 10-11 percent. It also expects the I-T industry to hire 1.3 to 1.5 lakh people in FY18.

I-T industry body NASSCOM has unveiled its much awaited guidance for FY18. Uncertainty in the global markets including Brexit and US visa issues is what it says led to the delay in releasing the annual outlook.

NASSCOM expects export revenue of the I-T industry to grow at 7-8 percent. Domestic revenues is expected to grow at 10-11 percent. It also expects the I-T industry to hire 1.3 to 1.5 lakh people in FY18.
