An AI-generated song titled 'Heart on My Sleeve' went viral for mimicking the voices of musicians Drake and The Weeknd.
Naturally, Universal Music Group, the label that represents the artists stepped in and had the song removed from music streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal and Deezer. YouTube and TikTok also pulled the song but as this is the internet, nothing is ever, truly gone.

Before the copyright claim, the song had been streamed nearly 600,000 times on Spotify, and had more than 15 million views on TikTok.
No one knows who the author of the song is. A TikTok account with the name 'Ghostwriter977' was the first to upload it. Then later, as reported by The Verge, the account mysteriously started deleting all its posts on TikTok.
Then the account started sending people to a webpage that asked for their phone number with a promise to "end you the Drake AI song, and a new link if they take it down."

The CEO of the company that the webpage redirects to has said he is not behind Ghostwriter and his site specializes in Crypto and mass texting services.
Universal Music Group has issued a statement to Music Business Worldwide saying the song is "a breach of our agreements and a violation of copyright law". They also said that streaming platforms should have "legal and ethical responsibility to prevent the use of their services in ways that harm artists".
