Panasonic has launched new devices in India that are primarily aimed towards the Indian enterprise market. The company has launched new additions to both of its Toughpad and Toughbook line-ups. The devices included are the Toughpad FZ-G1, the Toughpad JT-B1, the Toughbook JT-H300HT, and the Toughbook JT-H320HT.The Toughpad FZ-G1 is set to run on Windows 8 and is set to be ruggedised in the same way that other devices in the Toughpad line-up are. The JT-B1 is a 7-inch Android tablet that the company claims is designed for one-handed operation.With an MIL-STD-810G design for mission-critical and highly mobile workers in fields such as the military, construction, healthcare, public safety, utilities, retail, maintenance, supply chain logistics and insurance. Thhe company claims that the Toughpad tablets perform under circumstances that render typical tablets non-operational like drops, fluid ingress and exposure to extreme temperature. The Toughpads also sport LCD displays and user-replaceable batteries.The JT-H300 and JT-H320HT rugged handheld computers are based on Panasonic’s “TSA (Total Shock Absorbing) design”.
