SpaceX is poised to make history with its upcoming Fram2 mission, marking the first human spaceflight to explore Earth from a polar orbit. Scheduled for launch in late 2024, this groundbreaking mission will be carried out aboard SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket.

The crew for Fram2 includes an international team of adventurers: Chun Wang from Malta, who will serve as mission commander; Jannicke Mikkelsen from Norway as vehicle commander; Eric Philips from Australia as vehicle pilot; and Rabea Rogge from Germany as mission specialist, according to a statement from SpaceX. This mission will be the first spaceflight experience for each crew member.

Fram2 Mission: An overview

During the 3 to 5 day mission, the crew will operate from Dragon’s cupola at an altitude of 425 to 450 kilometers.
