Kerala will vote in a single phase in the upcoming general election. The polling will happen on April 26.
Voting for the 18th Lok Sabha will be held from April 19 to June 1, according to the Election Commission of India.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, voting in all 20 constituencies took place in a single phase on April 23.
These are the following 20 constituencies in the state: Kasaragod, Kannur, Vadakara, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Ponnani, Palakkad, Alathur, Thrissur, Chalakudy, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Mavelikkara, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Attingal, Thiruvananthapuram
Kerala was one of the few states in the 2019 elections that Congress managed to dominate. In the previous polls, the grand old party-led United Democratic Front (UDF) won 19 out of the 20 seats in the state with Congress bagging 15 seats.
Meanwhile, the Left Democratic Front led by CPM won just 1 seat in the previous Lok Sabha polls. The BJP, which is trying to maintain inroads in Kerala, drew a blank in 2019.

The elections were a prestige battle for Congress since Rahul Gandhi was fighting from the Wayanad constituency beside his bastion of Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.
Though Rahul faced defeat in Amethi at the hands of Smriti Irani, he managed to win the Wayanad constituency, ensuring his Lok Sabha presence.
