Bhupendra Chaubey of CNN-IBN decodes the many twists and turns on the political front. He talks about the dissent in the BJP. He believes there is a lot of restlessness or unease from large sections of the BJP.

The problem he believes lies with all those leaders who believed they will have a say in decision-making and are suddenly beginning to realize that there is almost a diktat being imposed on them, leading to the grumblings and grouses that one hears from Sushma Swaraj and LK Advani.

He expects two important decisions will be taken on March 13. One, whether Narendra Modi needs to contest on two Lok Sabha seats, and if he wins both then he will have to surrender one. Question is which one will he surrender. Two, if he contests elections from Varanasi, then Murli Manohar Joshi, the incumbent BJP MP from the constituency will have to move out, in that case what kind of message will go to the party cadre about the old guard – will it imply a shift for LK Advani as well. All these questions will be answered on March 13. However, Chaubey doesn’t think Modi will want to open another battle front from within his own party so close to the elections.
