Women workers of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) women wing staged a protest in the capital on Sunday against the India-Pakistan 2025 Asia Cup cricket match, breaking televisions and urging people to boycott the game.

AAP protested against the match in Delhi on Sunday. AAP Delhi unit president Saurabh Bharadwaj said, “The BJP government brings up Pakistan at the drop of a hat and lectures other governments on matters concerning Pakistan. When the entire country was seething with anger after the terror attack in Pahalgam which caused the Sindoor of 26 mothers and sisters to be wiped away and the army launched Operation Sindoor, they could have taken back PoK but at that time Modi ji took a U-turn.”

He added, “Now a match is being played with Pakistan and billions of rupees have been bet on it. BJP leaders and workers are hiding. The entire country is opposing this match despite this, the match is being played. After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, Modi ji had said that hot vermilion flows in his veins but it appears that today it has cooled down. Today our mothers and sisters have come with vermilion and the power of this vermilion will be seen by the entire world.”

Traditional rivals India and Pakistan are facing off in Dubai on Sunday, the first meeting between the two sides since the military conflict in May, when India launched strikes on terror infrastructure in Pakistan-controlled territories after 26 people were killed in the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said on X, “Playing a match with Pakistan is treason against the country and every Indian is very angry about it.” Senior party leader Manish Sisodia added, “Have the flames of Operation Sindoor cooled so quickly that cricket matches are being played with the same terrorists?”
