Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a rally in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, stated that terrorism is on its "last breath" in the region, attributing this to his government's efforts to counter dynastic politics and promote new leadership. PM Modi positioned the upcoming assembly election as a critical contest between "three families"- Congress, the National Conference (NC), and the People's Democratic Party (PDP) - and the youth of the region. He accused these political dynasties of hindering the region's development and called their actions "no less than a sin".

"This time's assembly election in Jammu and Kashmir is between three families and the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. One family belongs to Congress, one family belongs to the National Conference and one family belongs to PDP...What these three families have done to you people in Jammu and Kashmir is no less than a sin," said the Prime Minister.
