Stop comparing your children with others, PM Modi urges parents at Pariksha Pe Charcha

A lot of parents keep on giving examples of other children to their children, PM Modi said while speaking at the seventh edition of his interactive programme Pariksha Pe Charcha at Bharat Mandapam today

The interactive programme was conceptualised by PM Modi to discuss anxieties related to examinations as well as life after school

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the seventh edition of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' in New Delhi on January 29, urged parents to stop comparing their children with others.

"A lot of parents keep on giving examples of other children to their children. Parents should avoid doing these things," he said at the seventh edition of his interactive programme 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' at Bharat Mandapam.

"We have also seen that those parents who have not been very successful in their lives, have nothing to say about their successes and achievements, make the report card of their children as their visiting card. Whenever they meet someone, they will tell them the story of their children," he said.

Furthermore, PM Modi also urged parents to not sow the seeds of competition and rivalry between their children. Rather, siblings should be an inspiration for each other, the PM said.
