Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said said Ayodhya has entered a new era of faith today with the completion of the Ram Mandir.
"The saffron Dharma Dhwaj hoisted atop the temple is a symbol of Dharma, a symbol of dignity, and a symbol of truth, justice and national duty. It is also a symbol of the vision of a Viksit Bharat..." said the UP CM.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the saffron flag atop the 191-foot-high ‘shikhar’ of Ayodhya Ram Temple. RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat was also present at event. The ceremonial hoisting of the saffron flag symbolised the completion of the temple’s construction.
Adityanath presented miniature models of the Saffron Flag ceremonially hoisted on the 'shikhar' of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir and Ram Lalla idol at the temple, to PM Narendra Modi and RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat.
The UP CM said the sacred day was dedicated to the "relentless meditation and struggle of those revered saints, warriors, and devotees of Lord Ram who sacrificed their lives for this entire movement and struggle".
"... This grand temple is the symbol of 140 crore Indians' faith and self-respect. I congratulate all the 'Karma yogis' who sacrificed themselves for this... This flag is the proof that the light of Dharma is immortal and the principles of Ram Rajya are timeless... When PM Modi became the prime minister in 2014, the faith that rose in the hearts of crores of Indians is now symbolised as this grand Ram Temple... This saffron flag symbolises Dharma, integrity, truth, justice and 'Rashtra Dharma'..." he said.
The UP CM said faith is the only thing that has not changed in decades. "Empires and generations changed in the last 500 years. The only thing that did not change was faith... When RSS got the leadership, there was only one slogan prevalent, 'Ram Lalla hum aayenge. Mandir Wahin banayenge. Lathi Goli khayenge, Mandir Wahin banayenge," he said.
