The bulletin, however, did not mention any loss of human life or cattle.

The discharge from Valmikinagar barrage was 3.39 lakh cusecs on July 14, which increased to 4.28 lakh cusecs on Tuesday, sources in the water resources department said, adding it was triggered by heavy rainfall in catchment areas of Gandak river in Nepal for the past few days.
