Vishal Agarwal, father of the 17-year-old boy who crushed to death two software engineers in Pune with his Porsche, has been sent to judicial custody till June 7.

Five other accused, including the owner and employees of two pubs - where the teenager had allegedly consumed alcohol before the incident - have been also been sent to judicial custody by a special court in Pune.

The speeding luxury car, allegedly driven by the teen, fatally knocked down the motorbike-borne techies - Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Costa - in Kalyani Nagar area in the wee hours of May 19.

The minor's father, a notable real estate developer in Pune, was arrested under sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act. While Section 75 deals with 'willful neglect of a child, or exposing a child to mental or physical illnesses', Section 77 deals with supplying a child with intoxicating liquor or drugs.
