Key opposition leaders, including Congress' Nana Patole, Vijay Wadettiwar, and Amit Deshmukh, NCP (SP) leader Jitendra Awhad, and Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, took their oaths as soon as the assembly reconvened on Sunday.

On Saturday, the opposition had also raised concerns over a curfew and arrests in Markadwadi village, located in the Malshiras assembly constituency of Solapur, where villagers had demanded a 'repoll' using ballot papers.
