Mumbai and its suburbs got moderate to severe rainfall during the day, and the IMD issued an orange alert for the city on July 18, anticipating high to very heavy rainfall in several areas. The meteorological department has issued a red notice for the surrounding districts of Raigad and Palghar, predicting severe to very heavy rain in a few places and extremely heavy rain in isolated locations on Wednesday. Thane district has been issued an orange warning.
