Mahindra Group expresses interest in investing in Andhra Pradesh   

Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra on Saturday in a post on X announced that his teams are in talks with the Andhra Pradesh government for potential investments across sectors such as solar energy, irrigation, and tourism. He also expressed that Mahindra companies would be proud to contribute to the state's development journey.

Anand Mahindra's post came in response to a tweet by Andhra Pradesh IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, who encouraged the company to consider setting up a manufacturing facility in the state, highlighting the large market for Mahindra vehicles and a strong automotive ecosystem. Lokesh's message followed a Mahindra & Mahindra advertisement in Telugu promoting its new vehicle lineup.

Nara Lokesh wrote,"Loved the Telugu ad, sir. AP is a large market for your vehicles and I’m sure the ad would be loved. Speaking of which, why not consider a Mahindra manufacturing facility in the sunrise state Andhra Pradesh to take advantage of our advanced automotive ecosystem and large market. Would love to host your team and showcase the abundant opportunities available here!"

Anand Mahindra then replied in the post saying,"We would be proud to be a partner in Andhra Pradesh's journey. Our teams are already in discussions across multiple sectors, from solar energy to micro-irrigation and of course, tourism.
