Kejriwal requests for special diet in jail, wants to take Bhagavad Gita & Ramayana

The CM also sought medicines and a religious locket which he was wearing in the judicial custody. He has been remanded to ED custody till April 15.

After the Delhi Rouse Avenue sent Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15, his legal team filed a request to allow the Chief Minister to peruse three books.

The counsel moved an application to allow Kejriwal to read three books - Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana and How Prime Ministers Decide by journalist Neerja Chowdhury. The CM also sought special diet, medicines, books and religious locket which he was wearing in the judicial custody. The CM was remanded to judicial custody till April 15.

Kejriwal appeared before the Delhi court as his Enforcement Directorate (ED) custodial remand concluded in the money laundering case associated with excise policy.

This comes after the Enforcement Directorate alleged non-cooperation by Kejriwal.
