The Karad South Assembly constituency is set to see a tight contest between two traditional rivals -- former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan of the Congress and Atul Bhosale of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

An intense battle in unfolding for the Karad South Assembly constituency, one of the 288 seats going to polls in the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. On opposite sides are two rivals who will have a go for the third consecutive time.

Former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is the Congress candidate from the seat who will take on Atul Bhosale of the BJP. Bhosle has contested against Chavan from the seat twice since 2014, but been unsuccessful.

Karad South is an assembly constituency in Maharashtra and falls under the Satara Lok sabha seat. It is an unreserved seat which has 26,17,745 registered voters, including 13,28,181 male voters, 12,89,455 female voters, and 109 third gender voters.
