External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, on Tuesday, met Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Copenhagen, expressing India’s appreciation for Denmark’s steadfast support in the global fight against terrorism.
The meeting marks a key engagement during Jaishankar’s visit to Denmark, the second stop on his three-nation European tour that also includes the Netherlands and Germany.
Taking to microblogging site X, Jaishankar thanked Prime Minister Frederiksen for the warm reception and conveyed personal greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“Thank Denmark for its solidarity and support in combating terrorism,” Jaishankar wrote, emphasizing the importance of continued global cooperation on security challenges.
The EAM also underscored the value of Denmark’s leadership in strengthening the India-Denmark relationship, particularly in the context of the Green Strategic Partnership between the two nations. He noted both countries’ shared commitment to sustainable development and innovative solutions to global issues.
“Value PM Frederiksen’s guidance to take forward our Green Strategic Partnership and widen the canvas of our cooperation,” he added.
