Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is preparing to launch a remote sensing satellite of Cartosat-2 series in December.
As per a report in The Times of India, the launch which is the first after the failure of IRNSS-1H, will also include 30 nanosatellites belonging to different foreign countries.
Dr K Sivan, director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), was quoted in the report, "Isro will be busy in launching a series of satellites from December onwards. We are targeting to launch Cartosat along with 30 nanosatellites of foreign countries in the second half of December."

The launch will be of utmost importance as it would grab widespread attention as it comes after the failure of ISRO’s last satellite, IRNSS-1H. According to Sivan, ISRO has taken corrective measures after the failure. “After the IRNSS-1H satellite failure, corrective measures will be taken in all rockets before the launches… initial findings suggested a defect in the pyro elements of the rocket which deal with the stage separation mechanism.”
The ISRO is all set to go on a busy launching schedule from December onwards. This will include the launching of three GSLV series satellites.
